Nutritional Therapy for Children
What your child eats is intimately related to their health. They are constantly growing and developing and get both their fuel and building materials from the foods that they eat. There is mounting evidence that the basis of good health in adulthood is laid down very early on, from the point of conception, throughout the pregnancy and in the early years.
Of course we all want to do the best for our children, but the conflicting information from the media and many commercial food brands can make it very confusing. My job is to make sure that you get the right advice, tailored to your child’s and your family’s needs. I make sure that the advice I give is practical and realistic, with plenty of tips to make the day-to-day meal planning easier.
What your child eats can make a huge difference to their behaviour, their concentration levels and their general wellbeing. As a parent myself, I will make sure that all my recommendations are realistic and suit your family and lifestyle. My recipe ideas have all been tried and tested by my own critical ‘taste testers’!
How can nutritional therapy support your child?
- Helping educate you and your child on better food choices. Children are naturally inquisitive and this a great time to start educating them so that later on in life they will continue to make healthier food choices and as a result live healthier lives.
- Help boost your child’s immune system to avoid unnecessary absences from school and help them enjoy life more.
- Support specific health issues such as asthma, dry skin, constipation or behavioral issues.
- Make you as a parent feel that you know how to best support your child’s health.
